To,
Descendants of Our Great Grandparents, Francisco and Ana,
Sub : Acquisition of part of our ancestral property for National Highway Road Expansion.
Dear Family Members,
I would like to bring to the attention of all our family members that a portion of the ancestral property bearing Survey No. 357/4 has been acquired for the National Highway expansion project. The relevant notifications, orders, and acquisition documents have already been issued by the concerned authorities.
My sister, Laura, has collected from Loliem panchayat, copies of all the notices/award issued by the the government through Loliem Panchayat and addressed to the concerned persons mentioned in Form I & XIV. These notices have been distributed to most of the concerned family members mentioned in Form I & XIV, except for our family members in Australia (Ref. No. 2 – Jose Paul Fernandes) and our family members in Calangute (Ref. No. 8 – Carmelina Fernandes).
If anyone has the contact details or current whereabouts of our relatives from Calangute, kindly share the information so that the related document can be delivered to them. Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.
It is also important to note that our ancestral property has unfortunately remained abandoned for many years. The property is presently in a neglected condition, overgrown with trees and bushes, and it is painful to see it deteriorating, each time we pass by it.
As descendants of our ancestors, it is our collective responsibility to find a practical and mutually agreeable solution to preserve or manage this property. Those family members who are interested in retaining or taking responsibility for the property are requested to express their interest. Together, we can discuss and work out an appropriate solution regarding its ownership, maintenance, or, if mutually agreed upon, its sale to whoever among us is interested in purchasing it.
It is important that we come together as a family and make a decision that respects our heritage while ensuring that the property is properly cared for.
Regards
Wilson Fernandes

Our Family Tree - Under Construction

26-Dec-2023 @Dapot (Family Members of C1 & D1) - Ref. Our Family Tree
This photo was taken on 26 December 2023, just a few days before my mother (Victoria - Santan- with walking stick in center) passed away (14-Jan-2024) . She was always deeply grateful to our Paulo Apai’s family for the care and support our Beatriz amai and her family extended to her during her prolonged hospitalization in Bombay in the 1970s.
She was always delighted whenever members of Paulo Apai’s family visited us and has instructed us to keep our home open to them whenever they come. She greatly cherished the love, kindness, and affection shown by Beatriz amai and her family, and she carried that gratitude in her heart throughout her life.
I believe that all the departed members of our family have met once again and are now together in heaven, reunited in peace, love, and eternal joy.
